In keeping with the interdisciplinary approach of the RRC, the presentations offered a broad range of topics and disciplines. In the morning, the focus was, for example, on a cultural studies analysis of the forms and functions of comedy in science communication, followed by a discussion of the connection between mimetic structures, Twitter and innovative forms of science communication. In the afternoon, presentations on theory in paperbacks and the role of the social sciences in science journalism rounded off a series of presentations characterised by a lively and animated atmosphere.
