Interdisciplinary exchange – Presentation of the RRC’s doctoral projects at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences

After months of planning and preparation, the doctoral students of the RRC were able to present their research projects for the first time at the Mobile Science Communication Lab at Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences on 15 November

In keeping with the interdisciplinary approach of the RRC, the presentations offered a broad range of topics and disciplines. In the morning, the focus was, for example, on a cultural studies analysis of the forms and functions of comedy in science communication, followed by a discussion of the connection between mimetic structures, Twitter and innovative forms of science communication. In the afternoon, presentations on theory in paperbacks and the role of the social sciences in science journalism rounded off a series of presentations characterised by a lively and animated atmosphere.
